Brooklyn

Starring Saoirse Ronan

Young Irish immigrant Eilis Lace (Saoirse Ronan) navigates her way
through 1950s Brooklyn. Lured by the promise of America, Eilis departs Ireland and the comfort of her mother’s home for the shores of New York City. The initial shackles of homesickness quickly diminish as a fresh romance sweeps Eilis into the intoxicating charm of love. But soon, her past disrupts her new vivacity, and Eilis must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within.

A great, affordable, evening out in Wadhurst, watching the latest films with friends and family.

Local

The films are show in the Commemoration Hall, right in the centre of Wadhurst.

Big screen quality

Films are shown on a 5.5 metre screen, on the stage, with high definition quality and great surround sound.

Plenty of space

The hall has a capacity for 200 seats, so there is plenty of space to sit together with family and friends, or further apart if you would prefer.

Refreshments

Get prepared for the film with a drink and snacks… from popcorn to a glass of wine!

Tickets on the door

Becoming a member is the best way to benefit from the Cinema. However, you can turn up and buy a ticket on the door.

So, if you have a free evening, why not grab a friend and pop along… or come on your own.  If you don’t know anyone when you come through the door, you’ll have made friends by the time you leave!
